Hello, my name is Milka, I am from Beijing. I majored in teaching Mandarin as a foreign language. I have 12 years of experience teaching Mandarin to adults and children alike. I love to travel, learn languages such as Japanese, Cantonese and Korean, and learn about different cultures from all countries. From my personal experiences learning languages, I have experienced many difficulties and obstacles which has helped me as a teacher. I use flexible and diversified teaching methods to increase my student’s interest in Mandarin. The examples I use in class are very relatable and as they learn, they can use new words and phrases in their daily lives to help them practice their speaking and listening. I create a relaxed, happy, and efficient classroom environment. I also use the senses such as sense, hear, smell, taste to deepen my student’s understanding and memory.
