I am an academician with reasonable teaching, research, financial and administrative leadership experience. Currently, I am working as a Principal at Punjab University College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. However, a brief description my suitability is given as follows:

1- Academic credibility and intellectual rigor

I persuaded my PhD at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, which is in top 100 schools of Pharmacy and Pharmacology as per QS ranking with the financial assistance of Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan. I have published my work in national and international journals of good repute. I have won a number of medals in various research/innovation competitions. On resuming my duty at college of pharmacy after PhD, I have developed research facilities and promoted research with a significant production of PhD researchers. I am serving as editor and reviewer of many journals/articles in the field of pharmacy.

2- Personal commitment

I believe in establishing international accredited and recognized institutions of higher education. I have a deep personal commitment to provide the best possible learning environment to the students, knowing the fact that the face of tomorrow’s Pakistan depends upon educated minds, research, invention, innovation and adaptation.

3- Organizational functionality understanding

Through working at various teaching and administrative positions, I understand the functioning of a university. I have acquired organizational skill, financial acumen and administrative ability to successfully lead a large and complex organization. I served University of the Punjab as a Dean Faculty of Pharmacy At present, I am working as Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, for more than three years. Nowadays, I am working as Principal, Punjab University College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab. I am the member of several statutory bodies of some universities. I have had a chance to manage Hostels as a Warden and Deputy Chairman Hall Council.

4- Leadership

I have played a key role in modernizing herbal pharmaceutical industries, and lead the business development campaigns in the Punjab and KPK. I have conceptualized, designed and developed a number of products which are being marketed successfully. In public sector, I have made my career in teaching and research which is evident from my service-promotion record and publications. Being a head of a Faculty and a College, I have maintained hierarchy by providing equal opportunities to my subordinates.

5- External linkages/Collaborations

I have built productive relationship of the college of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sector, pharmacy institutions, Pakistan Pharmacist Association, Pharmacy Council of Pakistan and Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Association, etc.

6- Integrity, resilience and a commitment to the value

I believe in honesty and transparency, doing the right thing even if it means losing something, keeping my promises and commitments and treating my people and partners with fairness and respect. I practice all such norms in logistical management, operational direction, resource forecasting and allocation, and regulatory compliance to enhance organizational performance and boost efficiency and productivity. I believe in top-flight staff recruitment on merit in a transparent/legal/justified way, training and talent management through dynamic program management, problem-solving and communication abilities.
7- Institutional development
I feel humble to state that I have established a Center of Herbal and Homeopathic Drugs Standardization, Department of Pharmaceutical Policy Development, Drug Delivery Laboratory, Nanotechnology Laboratory. I have revised Pharmacy Curriculum and started certification programs including QbD and Pharmaceutical Analysis. Recently, I have laid down the foundation of a College of Pharmacy at Quaid-e-Azam Campus, which is expected to be a center of excellence in the field of pharmacy.
