My Philosophical Journey:
I am an engineer turned philosopher driven by a profound curiosity about the origin of natural laws, and human consciousness. During my engineering studies, I found myself captivated by philosophical inquiries, which led me to shift my academic focus. Today, I hold a degree in philosophy and possess a deep passion for both learning and teaching in this field. Drawing upon my interdisciplinary background, I am able to integrate various perspectives into my teaching to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the subjects at hand.

My Teaching Philosophy:
“I can teach you nothing; I can only make you think.” (Socrates)
For me education is not just the transfer of ready-made knowledge from books (through teacher) to students; rather it is the art of enabling students to create or construct knowledge for themselves. And this ability (of constructing knowledge) can only be imparted to the students through critical thinking; by showing them the limits of human knowledge, and to make them think for themselves. To teach is to involve students in the act of thinking and to enable them to raise questions about everything such that when the teacher tells them: question everything! And he hears the reply: why?

Moreover, education is not just the learning of known facts, but discovering new facts after knowing the established truths. That’s why Einstein had famously said: “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of mind to think”. I also think in the same line with Aristotle, who in the very first line of his Metaphysics says: “All men by nature desire to know”. Since humans are, by nature, curious to know about the world—which is their distinctive & definitive feature, so the other purpose of teaching should at least make students realize this fact that they are, by definition, rational beings, i.e. thinking beings. And thinking, says Plato, starts form wondering: “wisdom begins with wonder”. So, finally, to make students wonder about everything, should be another objective of education. But how to make them wonder about everything? Benjamin Franklin answers: “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. So, it is not by telling or lecturing them that they will start wondering, it is only through involvement that they will wonder and learn. But how to involve them? My answer is that the teacher should point to the topic (or a phenomenon in nature) in some interesting way, so that the students automatically get absorbed and involved in thinking about it. But what is that interesting way? I leave it to the teacher; for a teacher must know the art of how to make something interesting.
