Nada Quran Teacher

Asalamu Alykum, I am a university student. I follow the Quran and Sunnah through the understanding of the Salaf.

I finished my initial memorisation of the Quran in early 2017 and have been revising over my memorisation ever since. My Quran teacher at the time spent several years studying in Egypt and taught me Islamic books and poetry.

Throughout 2017, I taught children at on and off, but I only officially taught them from 2018 to 2020. I would volunteer there after school and teach small children ages 5-8 how to read and write Arabic, as well as test older children (up to 13 years old) on their Quran memorization. A few of the children have learning challenges that necessitated extra attention and care.

I am currently enrolled in an online institute. My goal is to memorise the Quran in various Qirāʼāt. In order to learn a new Qirāʼah, I'm currently reciting Hafs An Asim again to my new teacher working towards getting an Ijaza. To further my knowledge of other Islamic books and poetry, I also go to lectures and courses.

I know an amount of knowledge that could be beneficial to beginner and intermediate students. I'm still working towards seeking knowledge myself. I'd like to teach for two reasons. The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it” [Sahih Al-Bukhari]. I’m hoping to get closer to Allah by teaching again. The other reason is that I adore working with children. During the pandemic, the madrasa where I used to teach closed and hasn't reopened since. I've missed teaching and would love to be considered for a position as your Quran teacher.

Notes: Happy to teach both sisters and children.
