It is a pleasure to connect with you and introduce myself. I live in India and I am an Indian. Hindi is my mother tongue and I did my Bachelors in Hindi Literature. I also hold a Masters in Psychology and am a qualified teacher with a Bachelor in Education. I like to travel, write, read for pleasure and teach.

I have been teaching Hindi for over 24 years now and started taking online classes around 8 years ago. My students have come from different countries including, Singapore, US, UK, Australia and from different regions of India, especially from non-Hindi speaking regions.

In my classes, I respect the specific learning style of each student and the individual reason for taking instruction in Hindi language skills adapting my teaching style accordingly. Adopting a communicative style of teaching, I aim at making the language approachable, simple to understand and relatable, thereby encouraging development of confidence in independent use of the language. I do lay emphasis on vocabulary, accurate grammar and appreciation of the context to the extent it fulfils the objective of learner (including expert levels of grammar and literature skills).

It has been a challenging and successful journey and I have made many friends in the process. It is delightful to teach Hindi for academic purpose to school children of all grade levels and age groups from 6-yrs to 18 and then many students at university level as well. People from different countries connect to learn the language for easier communication with friends and family or because they are travelling to India. Many students connect to understand scriptures and stories of Hindi literature!
