Chemistry and Biology being major science disciplines require a scientific approach while learning; this include experimentations, day-to-day encounter interrelations with learning and using these interrelations to evaluate scientific objectives. Therefore, during teaching, I brainstorm the learners by enabling them apply real life facts to find solutions to scientific problems, understand scientific principles or predict scientific hypothesis behind scientific accurences or events. Learner-centred methodology is greatly applied as it enables learners to think critically and creatively. In cases where a physical labolatory is not accessible, use of relevant-to-topic videos is applied. Application of assessment for learning is of great significance as it enables learners understand their abilities as well as areas of weakness for improvement. Assessment for learning is done through individualized instructions to learner, projects, foreshaddow assessment, continuous assessment tests and home assignments. My major aim being to enable the learner improve and realize his/her full potential. I encourage collaboration during learning and reduce competition. In cases of learners with special needs, inclusivity is prioritized. Learners are integrated in my class such that they feel the inclusivity and belongingness through adjusting the learning experiences to ensure everyone benefits from the learning.
