I always use Task -based learning style of teaching English.
With Task-based learning style I always accompany it with Pre-task method which opens learners to critical thinking and prepares their attention to learning.
The task method is also applied whereby a learner can be paired to another learner of the same interest or tasked alone to drill a learner's attention to the language being learnt.
The review task method is applied to evaluate the learning process.
Students can submit their work an then shared to the pair or a group so that every one is involved in solving tasks.
Besides Task-based learning, Electronic approach of teaching/learning, Communicative language Teaching (CLT), Total Physical Response and Direct Method are also applied.
