I use deliberate and submissive questions to assess students' prior knowledge to determine what needs to be my primary area of focus. I have 12 years of teaching experience to students whose 1st language is not English.
I have utilized Learning Management systems (LMS) like Microsoft Teams and Google Meet professionally for teaching purposes. I also have hands-on practice in Zoom meetings. Screen sharing, use of communication (MS Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and Google Drive) tools, and Digital whiteboard are core to my skillset.
Rehashing the previous topic, cross-questioning, applying the knowledge to some case studies, and using cross-disciplinary examples gives a better understanding to the student. My teaching strategies are evaluating the students through verbal and written assessments (whatever is appropriate), highlighting the areas that need improvement to focus on for better grades, and mentoring/guiding the students by finding their strengths.
