Every child has their own set of strengths and weaknesses and as a teacher its important to observe and understand that. A strong base requires a clear concept . In schools, children do not get the individual attention they normally need and moreover some kids are shy and cannot voice their problems in class and tend to lag behind. Hence as a tutor it will be my first and foremost duty to know what are the difficulties being faced by the child and work upon that . Moreover I have worked with weak students at the college level and helped them secure good grades even though they lacked confidence .
