Dance is life itself.
Completed my Diploma & post Diploma under guidance of Pdt. Jai Kishan Maharaj ji( elder son of Pdt.Birju Maharaj ji) . Had done 3years course of Tabla, Vocal & yoga .
I do teach from basic and follow the simple techniques to understand very easily . Kathak is my passion and profession. Education is learning the proper technique with fun.
I have students at age 5+ to 58 + so, there is no max age limit to start your journey.
It's always a new thing when you start anything. so,keep patience,focus and be regular in your class.

Used to take classes in group and individual basis.
( it's an education so,kindly don't bargain with fees) if you really wish to learn kathak you will definitely fulfill your wish with me.

I was SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER student during my whole learning period.

I have my own institute where students get facilities to give exam also. They get chance to do proper certification course from recognised university.

I myself started tap feet at the age of 7.So, I prefer students above 6 years.as for classical dance below 6 is not recommended.
Can speak Bengali, Hindi & English.

Great experience with Sulagana Ma'am

I started learning kathak from Sulagana Ma'am past few weeks and its been great. She has a precise eyesight to catch where you are going wrong. As I stay in USA, I was looking for someone who is experienced with virtual classes and be assured, she is too good with it. You won't even feel its online. She is friendly and very adjusting with schedule. Due to time zone difference, I was unsure on how the timings would match, but she made it very easy to even think it as an issue. I highly recommend her to everyone of any age group.

Great Learning Experience

I am living in the US. I have started the online Kathak classes with Ma’am. My experience so far is great. Never expected that I will learn kathak online. She gives attention to details and teaches with our own pace. I would recommend this classes if you are living abroad and still want to learn Indian classical dance. :)

Highly recommended

As a dance instructor I found her great. She is very knowledgeable in her field with considerable teaching experience in different ages, with different skill levels from beginner to advanced. What I found most great in her teaching, that she uses variety of teaching techniques to make each lesson unique, fun and enjoyable and able to grow interest. She is very professional, punctual and has a lot of patience. She helps students to understand classical musical theory as a basis of their learning. Her individual lesson plans are innovative and can connect or relate the students in a very good way even in digital platform. In general I would say, as a whole, she can able to make a very friendly, dependable relation with her students, through her teaching way. She prepare students towards live performance and examinations, also provide them examination platform. Technically, her digital platform is also very good and satisfactory. To my opinion she is highly recommended.

Great Kathak teacher/ guru!

Sulogana is very through and a great kathak guru. She is very patient and has been teaching me and my daughter online from an year.She is very knowledgable and helps teaching with different techniques to make the learning easy and interesting. She also incorporates the history of kathak and fun facts of kathak in the lessons which gives a great experience in learning. She is also very patient in teaching in my teenager, she tries different techniques to get my daughter more involved and interested in dance. She spent time in understanding our requirements and helped my daughter prepare and get certificated through Chandigarh dance school which helps her to get credits for her extra curricular activities. She is also very flexible and comes with over 20 years of experience. I highly recommend Sulogana for Kathak!

Kathak teacher

Sulagna is the Kathak guru of my 6 years old daughter. She is so patient with her, answers all her questions with utmost calmness. She is very kind and helpful with my kid, even in the virtual classes.
