Currently I am conducting online Tamil Tuition for a GCE O Level Student in Singapore. From a month of assessment, I have come to know that he is fairly strong in Paper 2 especially one-word answers (தெரிவு விடைக் கருத்தறிதல்) and performing poorly in descriptive type questions (சுய விடைக் கருத்தறிதல்). So, I have discussed with his parents regarding his strength and weakness and continuing practice accordingly. Now he reduced mistakes in spelling, grammar and sentence formation. We hope that he can improve his performance to score good grades in the final examination.

* Translating various English news into Tamil News and coining a Suitable Heading for each news.
* Proof reading the Newspaper pages then and there for any corrections.

Finally the PSLE race is closer. Still your child is struggling hardly? Already tried your best with different Tuition Centre and Tutors? Dream of good secondary school! Still have a hope but don't know what to do? Why can't you give a try and see how it goes by having me as your child's 'Tamil Tutor/Tamil Tuition Teacher' So the immediate question is 'Can you give me guarantee for high grade?' I know this is how parents will think. Quite natural also. Honestly with short time I don't make such kind of commitment. But i can say this. As Tamil language is my passion, I will try my best to analyze your child first to see on which part she is strong and on which part she is week. I feel it is very very important. I tell you why? Previously I was handling PSLE Tamil home tuition to a girl student. Amazingly she is strong in MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions). As many parents may not aware of this, I mention about it here. In Paper 2 A student can easily score 60 Marks out of 90 only from easiest MCQ. Think 60/90. Already Safe. Rest is a bit complicated Comprehension. Coming to Paper 1, the Composition for 40 Marks. Easy pictures and hints also available. But if I am not wrong majority of the students find this part as tough. Because need to write for 3-4 pages with correct grammar and most importantly without spelling mistakes. And there are special elements such as 'Phrases' need to be added to make the composition so lively. A student must focus on Content as well as beautiful language usage. I just don't want it to be a Advertisement. Its my intention to share the reality rather than imagination. I hope this will give you an idea about my Teaching Methodology. Think well.
