Gerald Ndlovu Pragmatic Mathematics Tutor

Being the former deputy team leader for my country(Zimbabwe) in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) makes me the most ideal candidate when it comes to teaching mathematics.

In 2013, I was directly involved in the setting up of the mathematics club competitions which inturn motivated students to participate in mathematical Olympiad. In the very same year, I trained the winners of the Zimbabwe mathematics Olympiad.

In 2015, I co-founded e-sikolo which is an African Mathematics electronic learning interactive portal. I am proud to say I was top of my class throughout secondary and higher school, finishing the best A-Level student in my province.

I am an ambitious, adaptable and detail oriented professional looking to leverage 5 years of mathematical related experience to help students at all levels of education solve numerical and computational problems. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree in Actuarial Science and a Master of Science in Financial Engineering. Professional experience includes actuarial consulting and software development in the field of quantitative finance.

I am a proven self motivator and pragmatic communicator who works well independently and in team-oriented environments. I am a natural, enthusiastic teacher who helps students to solve numerical problems in the most pragmatic and efficient manner.

Lastly and most importantly, My teaching style is student oriented, I teach students to think independently. With regards to mathematics, I help pupils to deal with exam type and real life problems using elite problem solving techniques.
All things should be as simple as possible but not simpler.
